
Protect Your Plants with some shade.
In this case, a few tall bamboo posts were pushed into the potted soil and light shade fabric thrown over them.
NOW, if I was a watermelon I wouldn’t care either. Check this sugar baby out.

By the way, paint your watermelon a deep green shade by adding some nitrogen to the plate. In this case, aged chicken manure did great.

Our Tropicals are loving it. Just look at the giant young leaves on this young CHOCOLATE Tree. Young chocolate leaves always emerge small and transparent in color, which gradually changes it’s tone from gentle Olive-Brown to a nice Green.
Green is the name of the game.
Also! And the most Important one.
“Talk to your plants. Tell them to stay cool! Always.”
Go water that WATERMELON, it won’t say NO.
And give that Date Palm some space.

P.S. NO Idea if this one is a male or female. But, it kind of looks like a male to me. You can just tell when they are, you know?
If you grow in pots like I do, upgrade your date palm to at least a 15 GALLON pot.
I take it mine will need a female friend soon. Just kidding, maybe not tomorrow. I talk to it, it’s not quite ready yet. But, keep in mind, those date palms, G O D bless their souls, aren’t self-pollinating. They will need a partner in crime to gift you their delicious fruits.
