Everyone one around you is flowering.
My Lychee Tree decided to spill the beans.
It is occasionally pissed off by all the colors in the summer but
“The slower you grow the stronger the result” – he said.
My gentle tropical plant is grown from seed and may take some time to flower and produce any fruit. And it is OKAY.
Learn from you trees how to stay young. Do not produce fruit.
THE LONGER THE BETTER.
Now, therapy aside,
I have grown a few lychee trees from seeds so it is safe to trust me.
Write this down:
IF YOU HAVE A WALL, ANY WALL (South Facing -preferred, West- very good, East-alright, North- if no other options), have it sheltered by that wall on one side. Place your Lychee Tree near the wall.
If you do not have a wall, GO BUILD A WALL. They tend to help.
SOIL.
YOU AND I KNOW
You know nothing about it.
Plants do.
Do not dig a hole, fill it in with compost and drop your Lychee tree in it. Same goes for pots.
It will rot.
Tropical plants love moisture, which you can not provide too often if your plant sits in compost and wood chips. Compost will rot and encourage your Lychee tree roots to join the party.
Tropical plants love soil on the acidic side. (add peat moss)
Tropical plants love good drainage (add sand and pumice rock)
Tropical plants do not appreciate strong winds. (BUILD A WALL).
One of my Lychee Trees and the soil mix close up. (applies to all tropical plants). You may learn more information about the soil, check the Video description.
Here is what my Lychee is dealing with on a daily basis, but my therapy sessions are at no charge.

Stay tuned.
