Very importantly, I want you to know…

I would like to be a lizard.

NO.

The Horned one.

Southern Desert Horned Lizard. Found in sandy areas or on harder substrates close to areas of sandy or loose soil.

Right…It has the horns, on it’s head and a row of fringe scales on each side of the body. I would be quick. The moment you make a move, I am out! I could blend in with the rocks and soil and could be a permanent resident at a place, that is so hard to leave.

I also want you to know that

There are intricate and beautiful colors at EVERY AGE. Notice them. Sit Back. Admire and let it be.

Please know,

If you are dead and can hold on to a rock like this, you will impress me. Keep holding on.

The Art of Aging. Beavertail Cactus in Mojave Desert.

As I was pretending to be a lizard, my quiet friend found me fascinating all along. The feeling was mutual, so we were staring at each other for a good while. No touching.

Can you tell how far I buried myself into those shrubs? I was living my best life.

You will be reborn again in all shades of beautiful. I guarantee you that.

And maybe…just maybe,

You will see me out there.
