I thought so!
Ever seen the old photographs of Lily Flowers?
Me neither.
So, I decided to create a few… for our mutual admiration.

I couldn’t stop with the Lilies of course. Because, what’s the most Vintage flower you think there is?

Every stage is art.
Full Body Wine Lily. Disclaimer: Not a scientific name
This year I decided not to contain my sunflowers. This Mammoth stands at 6 feet tall, it doesn’t show any signs of slowing down. I tried negotiating with it to no avail, thus it continues to overshadow my sun loving cucumbers.

I will be continuing the tradition of reporting on the newly discovered beauty of the dying flowers. And there is nothing more unique than the abstract finesse of the Succulent flowers.
It’s shape strangely reminds me of some variety of hot peppers, which may or may not exist.

Can you make a statement?
Like Succulents do…
ME NEITHER.

I’ll take a chance and assume you know what this is.

That’s right, a SUNFLOWER bug. I don’t know what it is about the sunflowers, but just like her I can be around it all day. I counted at least 5 on this plant.
True story I brought this cone from a hike. It was a beautiful green cone with some sugary colored sap. Never did I expect it to overwinter successfully, open up in the early spring and actually gift me some pine seeds. Now, I know for sure, my friend and I are going to fill in the bold spots in that forest. Tell me it’s allowed, CALIFORNIA!

Pine cone, from a mysterious hike.
Pine trees, grown from seed. Year 1.
Never…, ever, underestimate the garlic.

…Or the balcony, or the garage,…
…Kitchen maybe?

It’s imperfectly small, but what’s small is huge as long as it’s imperfect.
STAY TUNED:)
