Have you ever asked your SUNflower how it deals with stress? I asked mine.

I JUST KEEP on GROWING

Mammoth Sunflower, Imperfect Garden, May 2021

My initial understanding was this future happy face was fascinated with the opiums growing nearby.

You are probably surprised they call it “a flower”. Rightfully so. Let us all agree, the Sunflower Tree is more appropriate at this point, shall we? See for yourself. It’s stalk is about 1.5″ in diameter and it reaches at least 8.5ft.

I planted about 6 of them in the garden. This one is a bread winner. Tree.

I am a strong believer, Just like “grounding” is beneficial to people, it is even more so for the plants. If you have a precious opportunity to plant directly in the ground, you should do so. Plants draw the energy from the earth, they connect and communicate. They don't need the shoes. And it won’t yell for water. One of the main reasons this sunflower is able to be itself, is him (perhaps her) being grounded.

My mammoth tree that is yet to flower has another brother and it’s as pretty as the ocean wave.

Can you live without Pinot Noir?

I didn’t think so. So my present to you is…

Some Pinot Noir.

Ever talked to Opium flowers?

Yes, they will always be exactly that, the “Opium” flowers. This delicate thing starts beautiful, looks at you briefly and dies young. Just like NATURE intended. I caught it briefly saying “Hi”, before it said goodbye a few days later. And I will cherish this moment.
